Morning Star School in Jacksonville, Florida serves children in Kindergarten through 12th grade with learning differences including Specific Learning Disabilities, ADD, Mild Intellectual Disabilities, Processing Deficits and High Functioning Autism.
Fully accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference, we are the only special education school in the Diocese of St. Augustine.

Utilizing individualized educational strategies and stressing moral values, Morning Star caters to the needs of each child. We prepare our students for life by developing a sense of individual responsibility and a global awareness that empowers each of them to become active and effective participants in today’s world.

Morning Star School provides a strong educational foundation to students with learning differences including ADD, Processing Deficits, High Functioning Autism, Mild Intellectual Disabilities and Specific Learning Disabilities such as Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Executive Functioning Deficits, Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities and Visual Perceptual/Visual Motor Deficit. At Morning Star School, students experience the learning in an environment where their individual talents are recognized, praised and nurtured.

INDIVIDUALIZED ACADEMIC INSTRUCTION
We believe that each child is an individual with unique learning styles. With a highly structured learning environment and curriculum individualized to fit each child’s needs, we are dedicated to helping each of our students perform to their highest potential. We recognize that it is critical for each child to acquire a realistic assessment of individual potential and develop an attitude of respect, service, and concern for other members of society.

Morning Star also offers Physical Education, Music & Art Education, Speech and Language Services, Behavior Support, Pet Therapy, Life & Social Skills Instruction, and Religious Instruction supporting the mission of the school by promoting Catholic spiritual values.
