The business was founded in 1980 by John and Nell Moore with their son Paul, initially focusing on color and bedding plants and later evolving into a full-service garden center. After nearly two decades in the neighborhood, the operation relocated to Bellevue in 1998, and in 2006 it was purchased by Duncan Borders, the founders’ grandson, who added a 5,000-square-foot greenhouse to support year-round indoor shopping.
