Monkton provides technological capabilities in the cloud at the edge for civilians and service members through a verifiable, proven process—developing secure solutions that adhere to the strictest security requirements from the ground up. As agencies increasingly rely on automation and AI-enabled decision tools, Monkton ensures the data behind those systems is secure, standardized, and available where missions happen. We approach problem solving and solution building through advanced architecture designs, DevSecOps, UI/UX, and focusing on leveraging Cloud Native and Edge Computing capabilities. Our goals are speed, flexibility, cost, and delivery. Monkton was founded in 2016 by a few engineers who set out to prove that people didn’t need to compromise on user-friendly, Edge-first systems in order to conform with NSA defined security criteria for highly sensitive and classified systems. We believe that mobile applications as Edge-based solutions can be better, quicker and more cost effective than legacy IT systems. Today, Monkton builds not only mission critical apps but also infinitely scalable solutions for Federal and commercial customers using cutting-edge Cloud Native services. Monkton believes the sooner the world empowers the end user at the tactical edge, the safer we will all be. Due to Monkton’s original work empowering the DoD, in Apr. 2020, Monkton was awarded the Mobile Apps to The Tactical Edge Ready (MATTER) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, FA2595-20-D-0001 for 500 Million over the course of four years to support mission capabilities DoD wide. From aviation to healthcare (and more!), we are quickly building and deploying mission apps as a service, continuing to make mobile apps accessible and affordable for more missions and more people.
