The Mobile Museum of Art, based in Mobile, Alabama, expanded in 2002 and sits in Langan Park as the Gulf Coast’s largest art museum between New Orleans and Tampa. The 95,000-square-foot facility houses a permanent collection of more than 6,400 works spanning two millennia, along with traveling exhibitions and regional shows. The museum curates rotating exhibitions that feature both regional artists and artists of international stature, balancing collection displays with traveling exhibits. The institution supports the community through education, outreach, and on-site classes, including partnerships such as with the Salvation Army’s Family Haven and a Pop-Up Museum in downtown Mobile. In 2025, the museum announced that it would host its annual Makers Market & Open House on June 14, 2025.
