Missouri Valley College is a private, coeducational liberal arts college based in west central Missouri, founded in 1889. It blends liberal arts education with career-oriented programs, offering a Master of Arts in Community Counseling and more than 30 bachelor’s majors, along with seven pre-professional programs to support diverse pathways and broader national and international outreach. The college has maintained accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission since 1916; its education programs are accredited by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, the Athletic Training program by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education, and the Nursing program is initially approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and nationally accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Its student body is around 1,400, and the campus supports 23 varsity teams across 15 sports, including a football program with the best winning record among small colleges in America. In 2025 the college launched an MBA program, expanding its graduate offerings alongside existing undergraduate options.
