Missoula County Public Schools (MCPS) is a public education administration organization based in Great Falls, Montana. It operates under a forward-looking initiative called Forward Thinking, High Achieving: 21st Century Initiative, aimed at positioning its educational community among the nation 's best through a focus on excellence, equity, and broad involvement. The district pursues five core goals to guide its work: improving achievement and graduation for all students; refining supervision and evaluation for staff; expanding professional development that reflects best practices; restructuring the organization for greater efficiency and accountability; and increasing involvement from staff, students, parents, businesses, and the wider community. MCPS operates in the education sector, overseeing K-12 schooling in its region with a mid-sized staff. A concrete development in 2019 was a partnership with Soft Landing Missoula to assist arriving refugees, coordinating with the IRC, Missoula Job Service, and local faith communities.
