Minnesota Community Solar is a turnkey developer of community solar gardens. Minnesota Community Solar offers a new, simpler way for more electric ratepayers to purchase solar power. We build large solar arrays in locations ideal for generating solar power. Subscriptions to our community solar gardens (CSGs) produce electricity for the grid, which is measured and credited to subscribers on the electricity bill they receive from their utility every month. Without community solar, only 20% of all ratepayers are in a position to access solar energy due to site characteristics, lack of property ownership, cost, or legal restrictions. Community solar subscriptions are available to anyone with an electric bill.

Minnesota Community Solar makes clean, local energy possible. We believe solar should be accessible to everyone in Minnesota. We use Minnesota products, Minnesota labor, and Minnesota financing whenever possible. We provide an exceptional customer service experience focused on community. We foster grassroots participation to remake the state’s energy landscape.
