The Military Order of the Purple Heart of the U.S.A., Inc. is a congressionally chartered nonprofit founded in 1932 to support combat-wounded veterans and active-duty service members who have earned the Purple Heart. It is distinctive among veterans service organizations in that all its members share that wartime injury and decoration. Through its affiliated entities—the organization itself, the MOPH Service Foundation, and the Ladies Auxiliary—it advances patriotism, fraternalism, and the preservation of American military history, while delivering direct assistance to veterans and their families, including help with VA benefits claims, homelessness outreach, and employment support. Based in Springfield, Virginia, the group participates in the VA Voluntary Service program, with volunteers who support hospitalized veterans at VA medical facilities and State Veterans Homes. In 2022, The MOPH Fund announced a partnership with Echo Analytics Group to provide veterans with training and certification in open-source intelligence skills through Echo Academy.
