Since July, 1847, Midway has been home to thousands of people in the West Georgia region: people of every race, age, economic background, and stage of life. Midway is experiencing its greatest days since its inception. Under God’s watchful eye and Pastor Todd’s leadership, Midway has grown from 200 in weekly Worship to over 2,000 today. 

Midway has seen many changes over the years, which include a couple of name changes. Midway was founded under the name of The Baptist Church of Christ at Macedonia. Today Midway Macedonia Baptist Church of Carroll County, Ga., Inc. is simply known as Midway Church or “Midway”.

Burdened by the statistics that 85% of our surrounding community is not attending church and only 4% of those under the age of 28 claims to know Christ, Midway was driven to turn these stats around.  In recent years, Midway has aggressively positioned itself to target these groups, organizing itself to be strategically outward-focused. 

Midway today is a vibrant, racially diverse congregation of over 3,200 believers that follows an Acts 1:8 Strategy to be “on-mission” in our Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and Ends of the Earth. We weekly experience life change through decisions for Christ and baptisms, through serving with one of our local ministries, or through serving with our mission partners around the world.

Midway is committed to being a church that is outwardly focused and welcoming to all, regardless of their background. Pastor Todd refers to us as “a hospital for sinners, not a hotel for saints.” We desire to meet people right where they are, following the example set by Christ. Our mission as God’s church will never change – He has instructed us to “GO” and tell the world about Him and then teach new believers how to grow in Him.
