Midnight Cellars Winery is a small, family-owned wine producer based in Paso Robles, California. The Hartenberger family founded the estate in 1995 after planting 30 acres of hillside vineyards in the Templeton Gap area near the Santa Lucia Mountains to leverage the cool maritime climate and calcareous soils. The estate grows Chardonnay, Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot and produces about 7,000 cases annually from its estate vineyards, with tasting experiences offered to visitors. The winery emphasizes control over every step of the process from vineyard to bottle to support wines intended for a range of occasions. In January 2025, Brenna Pratt was promoted to head winemaker, reflecting ongoing leadership within the family operation.
