Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, Knoxville, TN is a community of faith, part of the Christian tradition known as Lutheran (ELCA), who welcomes all, while seeking to bless and love the world. Messiah is striving to live life in Christ. We love it when others join us in this effort. We love it so much, we welcome everyone to come along, inclusive of race, economics, sexual orientation, gender identities, or life experiences. We figure everyone is a beloved child of God and has a talent or experience or bit of wisdom to share in God’s work to renew God’s creation. Together we believe we are called to gather, nourish and send disciples to bless and love the world. That calling is lived out, in part, through worship, nurturing faith, caring (for one another) and serving our neighbors (locally and globally).
