Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary Kft. runs a vehicle assembly plant in Kecskemét, located in the Bács-Kiskun region of Hungary, which opened in March 2012. The site focuses on producing compact cars for global markets, with the CLA and CLA Shooting Brake models manufactured exclusively there. In spring 2018, A-Class production began, and the B-Class lineup was discontinued in the same year.

The facility employs several thousand people and achieved a milestone in 2018 when the 1,000,000th Made-in-Kecskemét car, a white A-Class, rolled off the line. It supports regional development through a domestically implemented dual-education program that began in 2011 and engages in sponsorship and CSR activities focused on education, sport, culture, and social issues in Kecskemét and the southern Great Plain region.
