The garden originated from efforts to house rare orchids and diverse plant varieties, with financing and land contributions supported by community donors and WPA labor, and has since transitioned to management with support from local government and community volunteers. Located in Winter Park, the organization focuses on sustaining its botanical collections and offering an interpretive, nature-centered environment where people and nature can thrive together.
