Based in San Francisco, the Maybach Foundation is a small, education-focused organization established in 2005 to preserve and showcase the engineering and design heritage of Wilhelm and Karl Maybach. It runs programs that mentor talent and foster innovation, linking mastery of the past to future mobility initiatives. The foundation pursues a dual mission: honoring the historical contributions of the Maybach designers while developing mentoring projects that bridge past achievements to new, sustainable mobility opportunities. The work is oriented towards communities worldwide, drawing on the Maybach legacy to inspire and support emerging talents.

In June 2025, a MentorCloud initiative involving Maybach Motorenbau GmbH, US Capital Global, and the Maybach Foundation was launched to promote the value of mentorship. In March 2025, the foundation's president spoke at the Beverly Hills Super Summit 2025 to discuss Maybach heritage and mentoring.
