Our History:
In 1953, a group of teachers chartered the Northeast Johnson County Teachers’ Credit Union. By 1962, the CU moved from a classroom in the Shawnee Mission School District to a rented office with one manager and two part-time employees.

Today, more than 60,000 members from a variety of companies, agencies, professions, and neighborhoods turn to Mainstreet Credit Union for their financial needs.

We have 12 branches in the Kansas City area including two in Lawrence, KS, and a network of more than 30,000 ATMS nationwide.
