In 1987, Loveland Habitat for Humanity was founded by a small group of Loveland’s community and religious leaders, who recognized a growing need for safe and affordable housing for Loveland’s low to moderate-income residents. Their goal was to provide a hand-up, not a hand-out, to help families build and purchase an affordable home. 35 years later, through the hard work of homeowners and volunteers, over 160 homes and 28 home preservation projects have been completed. No matter who we are or where we come from, we all deserve to have a decent life. We deserve to feel strength and stability day after day. We deserve to know we have the power to take care of ourselves and build our own futures. Our shared vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
