The Louisville Sports Commission (LSC) is a Louisville, Kentucky-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to creating a legacy of economic and social vitality through sports. We attract and host events that drive economic impact, promote active lifestyles and enhance quality of life for people of all ages.

Sports Tourism
In partnership with Louisville Tourism and community leaders, the LSC has generated more than $1.75 billion in local economic impact since 1999. We have hosted 100+ NCAA postseason events and 44 NCAA championships, along with world and national championships in cycling, fencing and gymnastics; major youth tournaments in basketball, volleyball, archery, lacrosse, cheer and wrestling; large sports conferences and conventions; and the world’s largest IRONMAN®.

Owned Events
The LSC produces signature sporting events and awards that deliver high-quality competition while engaging the community, supporting local causes and attracting participants from across the region and beyond. These events showcase Louisville, strengthen the city’s sports culture and connect visitors with local venues and businesses.

Health & Wellness
Through Louisville Active, our community-wide health and wellness initiative, we mobilize partnerships and champion active living. By leveraging the power of sport, we aim to improve health outcomes, inspire participation and build a more vibrant Louisville.
