The Louisiana Chemistry Association is a Baton Rouge-based trade association for chemical manufacturing, established in 1959 to foster a favorable business climate and support long-term economic growth for its member companies. It represents 63 member companies operating more than 100 sites across Louisiana, and works with related organizations to protect and expand the state's petrochemical manufacturing base. The group emphasizes maintaining a unified voice in state government because policy decisions can affect capital investment and job retention and growth. The association is governed by a 17-member board drawn from member companies and supported by a seasoned staff with expertise in environmental, health, safety, security, governmental affairs, and communications. In 2025, the association named David Cresson as its president and CEO.
