Founded in 1936 by Los Angeles City employees, we expanded in 2006 to allow membership to anyone living in the Greater LA area who first donates a minimum $10 to the Los Angeles Charitable Association, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit charity. The Greater LA area includes the counties of Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara & Ventura. In the year 2019 we reached $1 billion in assets and our 160 employees at our seven branches and corporate office serve over 70,000 members.
