The Los Angeles Christian Health Centers provides comprehensive health care to homeless and underserved residents in the Los Angeles region. Founded in 1995 by the Los Angeles Mission, Inc., it obtained Federally Qualified Health Center status in 2004 and, based in Los Angeles, California, by 2010 operated two clinics with six satellite sites, supported by a staff spanning clinical, administrative, and support roles and more than seventy volunteers monthly. The organization offers a broad range of services, including primary and preventive care for adults and children, dental care, mental health services, and optometry, as well as TB and HIV-related education and care. It also provides chronic disease management, nutrition, on-site pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology, along with referrals to subspecialists. These efforts are supported through partnerships with academic medical programs and volunteers, including Cedars-Sinai Internal Medicine Residency, Keck USC School of Medicine, UCLA School of Medicine Doctoring Program, Mount Saint Mary's School of Nursing, Azusa Pacific University School of Nursing, and AmeriCorps.
