Lochland, located in Geneva, New York, is a non-profit organization providing day habilitation and residential services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Lochland is committed to creating opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to celebrate personal abilities and to encourage success. We partner with the Office of People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), and are certified by them in our operations. As a registered Non-Profit in the state of NY, we are still governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, that guides mission and planning, and provides oversight of finances and programming. Lochland School has a long history, established in 1933 by Florence Stewart. Our main residence, Stewart House, was built in 1896 is a noted landmark in Geneva and is in the New York State register of historic places due to being a meeting place for Geneva area’s suffragettes.
