The Colorado Haiti Project, operating under the name Locally Haiti, is a nonprofit based in Louisville, Colorado that supports locally led programs in rural Nippes, Haiti. Its work aims to boost economic development while improving health and family well-being through integrated initiatives in education, agriculture and conservation, community health, and girls’ empowerment. The organization was founded in 1989 by three Episcopal priests, and the Episcopal Church remains a foundational partner. In February 2026, Locally Haiti launched dedicated support groups for expectant mothers and began mental health training for community health workers and hospital staff in partnership with the Haiti Health Network. It also opened a new location in Petit-Trou-de-Nippes, building on the earlier inauguration of a Community Hospital in that town. These developments illustrate its ongoing focus on community-led health, education, and empowerment initiatives in Haiti.
