Listening Ear Crisis Center is a private, nonprofit organization based in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, offering a range of human services across mid and northern Michigan. Founded in 1969, the agency operates a 24/7 crisis line and provides programs that support children, teens, and adults in need, including foster care, services for runaway and homeless youth, trauma-focused treatment for child sexual abuse, transitional living for youth, in-home support for disabilities, residential services for adults with developmental disabilities, and rental housing for low to moderate income households. The center serves communities across Isabella, Clare, and Gladwin Counties, with a mission to offer hope and opportunity by listening to, supporting, and advocating for people seeking safe, affordable housing and quality services. Its work aims to reduce barriers to independent living and well-being by providing continuous, around-the-clock access to confidential support and a spectrum of housing- and life-skills–oriented programs.
