Legacy Environmental Services, Inc. is an Indiana Certified Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) founded in 2003 by Lorrie Lisek and her husband, Carl Lisek. Based in St. John, Indiana, the firm pursues a proactive approach to environmental consulting, aiming to prevent or minimize contamination rather than reacting after release. It serves public, private, and nonprofit sector clients, helping them develop policies and practices to support sustainable and more profitable operations. Since its inception, Legacy has served nearly 500 clients in 17 U.S. states and Canada, including local and regional governments, school districts and universities, and various state and federal agencies such as the U.S. Department of Energy and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management. Its projects have included collaborations across sectors, with sustainable energy grant procurement and/or project management for a range of public and private clients. In June 2025, Legacy Environmental Services participated in a Household Hazardous Materials event in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, reflecting ongoing involvement in community environmental initiatives.
