Lautenbach Recycling is an environmental services firm based in Mount Vernon, Washington, that provides waste management and recycling solutions for homes and businesses. The company traces its roots to 1991, when founder Troy Lautenbach sought to divert drywall scrap from landfills by turning it into bedding for dairy cattle, a concept that evolved into the business now known as Lautenbach Recycling. It has since grown beyond its early days to serve residential, commercial, and contractor clients across the Pacific Northwest with sustainable waste handling and recycling services. 

In the environmental services sector, the company has expanded its regional footprint through acquisitions and new facilities to enhance recycling capabilities. Notably, Lautenbach Recycling acquired Northwest Recycling in 2022 and in 2026 opened a new recycling and materials recovery facility in Bellingham, on a 25-acre site at 2885 E. Bakerview Road in the Irongate district, extending service to Whatcom and nearby counties.
