Lao Airlines is the national carrier of the Lao PDR, headquartered in Vientiane, Vientiane Prefecture. It traces its origins to 1976, formed from the merger of Royal Air Lao and Lao Air Lines and originally operated as the Civil Aviation Company before adopting the Lao Aviation name for several decades.
