Lake Valley Camp, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, runs programs that develop the abilities of youth from underserved neighborhoods to teach, lead, and inspire children in their own communities. Participants begin at age seven and progress through high school, with older youth taking on roles within the organization as they grow. The program emphasizes developing life skills and social-emotional intelligence at each stage and includes leadership development and college-preparatory components along with hands-on teaching experiences.

The work is grounded in four beliefs that every living being has inherent value, that every young person can change their world given opportunity, that communities benefit when youth contribute, and that growth comes from honest reflection with supportive adults.
