Kristi House operates the nationally accredited, state-designated Child Advocacy Center for Miami-Dade County, coordinating seven community partners across investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse cases. It assists child victims and families in navigating the complex services involved in healing, with all services provided at no charge. The organization is nationally recognized for evidence-based approaches to treating child sexual abuse and other forms of child trauma. The organization opened its dedicated Children’s Advocacy Center building in 1999 in Miami’s Health District and has since expanded with four satellite offices in Miami Gardens, Palmetto Bay, Naranja, and Homestead, along with a Drop In Center for underage trafficked girls. Its programs include Project GOLD, established in 2007 for sex-trafficked youth, and a nationally recognized mental health unit; since 2012 it has operated the Miami C-START Project under a federal SAMHSA grant to strengthen the system of care for child trauma, especially in foster care, and in March 2026 it launched a Men's Coalition.
