Krewe Of Argus is a civic and social organization based in Metairie, Louisiana, founded in 1972 by Jefferson Parish businessmen. It participates in Mardi Gras festivities in the New Orleans metropolitan area, featuring a parade with a large contingent of riders including men, women, and children, as well as guest celebrities and marching bands. The krewe crowns a royal line of King, Queen, and Royal Court from its membership each year and has historically produced special floats to honor veterans and local figures. Its public-facing activities attract family-oriented spectators along the Veterans Boulevard parade route in Metairie, and it maintains a tradition of presenting specialty imprinted items and elaborate costumes during Mardi Gras. A recent update indicates the organization planned to roll on Mardi Gras Day with a 10 a.m. start, reflecting its ongoing participation in local Mardi Gras events.
