KINGpropulsion is a new and exciting Naval Architecture Consultancy providing service, solutions and products to the marine industry.  KINGpropulsion specializes in ship hydrodynamics, ship performance and ship propulsion with a strong focus on the small craft sector.  KINGpropulsion has teamed with several unique partners to offer a range of performance solutions, testing capabilities and equipment supply for commercial and pleasure craft sector.  These include in-house full scale trials analysis, Cavitation Tunnel and towing tank testing with the Emerson Cavitation Tunnel, the highly regarded Varifold folding sail boat propeller series from Bruntons Propellers in the UK and Commercial and workboat propeller design with Stone Marine Propulsion.  

KINGpropulsion is a new limited liability company formed in 2013 with a collaboration between Dr. Lisa Allen, a Virginia based entrepreneur, and Dr. Roderick Sampson a Naval Architect with a passion for all things propulsion.  The company corporate headquarters are based in Lansdowne, VA with a local design office located in Potomac Falls, VA. The company is registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia and certified as a small women own business (SWAM).  KINGpropulsion is also DUNS certified and registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) for Federal Government procurement contracts. Additionally KINGpropulsion is a member of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects (RINA) and the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC) setting standards for small craft ship design.
