King County Fire District 20 provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the 15,000 residents living in the West Hill communities of Skyway, Bryn Mawr, Campbell Hill, and Lakeridge in unincorporated King County, Washington. Our fire district is governed by a three-member elected board of fire commissioners. The District employs a combination of 12 career and 35 volunteer staff in addition to a full administrative staff. We attend approximately 2,400 incidents each year, of which approximately 85 percent involve medical emergencies. Our District has a strong reputation as a training ground for volunteers that seek future positions as career firefighters. We value community partnerships and work closely with the West Hill Community Association, West Hill Business Association, Skyway Solutions, VFW Post 9430, and Alajawan's Hands to make our community a stronger, safer place to live.
