Kids House, Wayne Densch Children’s Advocacy Center, serves as the single point of contact for child abuse investigations for Seminole County, Florida.  Our mission is to provide aid to child victims of abuse by providing all necessary services from report and investigation through treatment and prosecution in a child-friendly environment.  Each year, nearly 2,000 children visit our Center for forensic interviewing and medical examinations, crisis intervention and advocacy, referral and information, mental health therapy and education and prevention services.

Committees consisting of representatives from the county and municipal law enforcement agencies, the state Attorney’s office, the Florida Department of Children and Families, Child Protection Team, and various social service agencies established investigative guidelines and an inter-agency agreement that forms the basis for the cooperative investigation of child abuse cases.  Kids House provides 24/7 crisis intervention to children and ensures they receive the assistance needed to reduce the trauma in their lives and develop into healthy adults.
