The Kentland Volunteer Fire Department Inc. is a public-safety organization based in Landover, Maryland. It operates as a volunteer department with a distinctive membership model designed to manage a substantial response burden and maintain service levels comparable to well-resourced departments. The department's primary response area covers 19 square miles, with a box-alarm area of 52.2 square miles, and includes critical infrastructure such as FedEx Field, the Fire/EMS Department headquarters, the Health Department headquarters, a US Secret Service office building, and the US Treasury's main currency ink storage facility. 

The department maintains three core response capabilities—a Class A engine, a Tower ladder, and a Rescue Engine equipped for fire suppression, technical rescue, and vehicular extrication. It is one of only two stations in Prince Georges County to provide all three services. In January 2025, Kentland was recognized as the busiest volunteer fire department in the United States.
