KB nationale bibliotheek is the national library of the Netherlands, based in The Hague, South Holland. It aims to advance intellectual development, proficiency, and creativity by elevating the visibility, usability, and longevity of the nation's publicly funded library holdings. The institution seeks collaboration with partners in public libraries, cultural heritage, and academia to support this mission.

Its primary audience includes public libraries, cultural heritage institutions, and academic researchers who rely on broad, unobstructed access to the Dutch Library Collection, the collective holdings of publicly funded libraries nationwide. By ensuring easier access to these materials, the library helps foster new ideas and enables researchers to build on the work of predecessors. In its role within the libraries sector, the KB operates with a national focus to coordinate and sustain the Dutch library ecosystem.
