Kay Phillips Child Advocacy Center, formally Children in Crisis dba Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center and Berkeley Children’s Advocacy Center, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit agency with locations in Dorchester and Berkeley Counties. As a nationally accredited Child Advocacy Center, our main goal is to ensure that children disclosing abuse are not further victimized by the intervention systems designed to protect them. This is why we offer child-focused, evidence-based programs, which work closely with representatives from many other disciplines in the investigation, prosecution, and treatment of child abuse. At Kay Phillips Child Advocacy Center, whether a child visits our center once for their initial forensic interview, or they visit us weekly for therapy services, one thing remains true - they will NEVER receive a bill for services provided. This means that cost never gets in the way of a child’s path toward hope, healing, and empowerment.
