Justdiggit is a non-profit organization focused on restoring vegetation in degraded African landscapes through nature-based solutions. By collaborating with farmers, pastoralists, and local partners, the group aims to reestablish ecosystems and contribute to cooling the Earth's temperature, delivering environmental and social benefits across landscapes they touch. The organization has tracked substantial impact, with hundreds of thousands of water bunds dug, millions of native trees recovered, and hundreds of thousands of hectares restored to support people, animals, and the broader ecosystem.
Based in Amsterdam, Justdiggit operates across Africa and engages a global network of farmers, NGOs, businesses, and individuals to advance a regreening movement. Recent developments include partnerships and regional initiatives, such as ongoing collaborations with Boska Holland in Tanzania, the launch of the Kijani App to support digital regreening, and a series of campaigns and outreach efforts. The organization positions itself within the nonprofit sector by emphasizing scalable, nature-based restoration and community engagement as core methods.
