Jim River Ranch is a working cattle and horse ranch, located in the Jim River valley, near Redfield, South Dakota. Jim River Ranch has been owned and operated by the Wright family for over 75 years. The emphasis at Jim River Ranch is to re-establish the native prairie grasses of Heartland America, which just happens to be the pheasant habitat in South Dakota! South Dakota is a wildlife Mecca! Jim River Ranch can provide you the opportunity to hunt all of the wild life that South Dakota has to offer. Upland game consisting of pheasant, Hungarian partridge, dove, Sharptail grouse. Waterfowl, including eight species of duck, Giant Canadian geese, snows and blues. During our sharptail hunts we always settle in on a few prairie dogs!
