Jews for Racial and Economic Justice (JFREJ) is a nonprofit that supports Jewish New Yorkers in organizing with neighbors and allies to transform New York into a more inclusive democracy. With more than three decades of activity, JFREJ has built a broad membership and maintains a significant electoral arm to influence public policy and civic participation. The organization focuses on reducing racist violence and expanding opportunities and resources for all residents. As a grassroots group, it engages in care and labor–related advocacy through coalitions and campaigns, including efforts around a Home Care Jobs Innovation Fund and the New York Caring Majority. Headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, it serves a membership of several thousand and collaborates with partners such as the National Domestic Workers Alliance.
