Julissa Garcia, CID, ASCIIDA Principal Designer As a Principal Designer, Julissa is involved in all projects at j.design.studio from concept to completion. Julissa is a 17 year veteran of San Diego’s Design Industry. She combines creative talent with extensive knowledge of the commercial interior architecture design and construction process. Julissa has been involved with various projects throughout San Diego County. Projects include low and high rise buildings providing clients with innovative interior architectural and design solutions. Projects include Corporate Design, Tenant Improvements, Industrial Design, Non-Profit Organizations and Medical Office design. Julissa prides herself with maintaining client relationships and has successfully retained long lasting relationships with clients, contractors and brokers through-out San Diego. Julissa attended Design Institute of San Diego where she obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Interior Design. As a certified Interior Designer, she has met the education, experience and examination requirements established by CCIDC Board under Section 5800 of California Business Professional Codes. Julissa is actively involved with IIDA (International Interior Design Association) and ASID (American Society of Interior Designers). She is also a member of ICC San Diego Chapter (International Code Council) she is actively involved and highly promotes uniformity and consistency in the application of building codes and public health and safety. As an environmentally conscientious designer, Julissa and her team promote environmentally friendly spaces. She is a member of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and in the process of obtaining her WELL Building Certification.
