Ivy Tech Community College is a public higher education system based in Indianapolis and is the state's largest postsecondary institution as well as the nation's largest singly accredited statewide community college system. It operates more than 40 locations across Indiana, offering affordable degree programs and workforce training that respond to local needs and that transfer to other colleges and universities in the state. The institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. 

Recent developments reflect ongoing growth, including the May 2026 groundbreaking for a Nursing and Health Sciences building at its Fort Wayne campus. It is expanding technical education offerings as well, with four new Diesel Technology programs planned for fall 2026 at the East Chicago location.
