ISSUE Project Room is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit in the performing arts, founded in 2003. It functions as a cultural incubator, supporting commissions and premieres of work by interdisciplinary artists across music, dance, literature, and film. Its programming emphasizes bringing recognition to creative practitioners whose contributions are underrepresented due to gender, sexuality, or geographic location. Through cultivating innovative new work, it contributes to the influx of ideas within the local, national, and international arts landscape. Located in Brooklyn, New York, it positions itself within New York City's cultural ecosystem by presenting a diverse roster of artists and new works. In 2024 it launched the Suzanne Fiol Curatorial Fellowship to support an emerging New York-based curator in organizing challenging and innovative projects for the season.
