Insurance Appraisal Services was founded in 1975  in Portland, Oregon. A second IAS office was formed by Terry Earl in Seattle in 1985 as an independent damage appraisal company.  Due to the success of these first two offices, other office expansions soon followed in Spokane and Yakima Washington and Eugene and Medford Oregon.

In 1992 Terry Earl formed another IAS Company in Phoenix, Arizona while branching out into the Southwest Region of the United States. In 1995 another new IAS office was established in Tucson, Arizona. The Tucson IAS Office currently acts as the Corporate Office for the IAS Claims Group.

In 2010 a new office was formed in Las Vegas, Nevada bringing the total number to nine Western Region IAS Offices. All of these offices are independently owned and most owners have at least 20 years of experience of owning and operating their IAS Offices. Through the seasoned experience of our owners and staff and a successful and proven property damage appraisal system, IAS continues to out-perform the competition in providing a quality appraisal product for our clients.

Best claims practices are always applied to when providing the client with a full array of material damage services. Our ability to accept and adapt to industry change is also an important aspect of our methodology for current and future development.
