The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG) is a premier research and engineering institution located in Guwahati, Assam. It was established in 1994 as the sixth IIT, with its academic programs beginning in 1995. The institute comprises eleven departments offering B.Tech., B.Des., M.Tech., Ph.D., and M.Sc. degrees across major engineering and science disciplines.
