Independence Coffee Company operates in the food and beverage services space, producing hand-roasted coffees and hand-blended teas. The company emphasizes traditional roasting and blending methods and prioritizes on-time delivery to its customers. Founded in 2003 and based in Brenham, Texas, it started with a 10-pound roaster on a homestead.

By 2020, it roasted more than 800,000 pounds of high-grown Arabica coffees sourced from thirteen producing countries, supplying both individual online orders and major retailers. Its customer base includes grocery and retail partners such as H-E-B, Albertsons and Whole Foods Market, and it has served international clients like ConocoPhillips. Founders continue to engage directly with customers, often hand-delivering coffees and teas to grocery markets, convenience stores, offices and family-owned establishments from its Brenham base.
