Independence Brewing Co. is a Southeast Austin-based craft brewery and taproom founded in 2004 by Amy and Rob Cartwright. The company produces more than 20 thousand barrels annually and distributes its beers across Texas and Arkansas, serving a market of beer enthusiasts who value independent, locally produced brews. As a long-standing player in the Texas craft beer scene, Independence Brewing Co. positions itself among other regional breweries by focusing on creative, small-batch offerings and collaborations, such as a bourbon barrel-aged stout developed with Garrison Brothers Distillery and limited edition bottle series like Redbud Paloma. The operation employs a regional team and maintains a local production and taproom presence that supports both on-site as well as distributed consumption, reflecting its role in the local food and beverage landscape.
