Based in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Hospice Analytics is a small information-sharing research organization focused on improving hospice utilization and access to end-of-life care through analysis of Medicare and other national datasets. It maintains the National Hospice Locator, a nationwide database of all known hospices with contact information and service features to facilitate easy comparison. Its InfoMAX online tool lets subscribers access Medicare data and generate reports on hospice utilization, patient demographics, costs and revenues, census trends, and related metrics for hospices in a user-defined area. Reports are available to hospice, home health, nursing facility, and hospital clients, with additional consultant reports for providers serving the hospice industry.

Hospice Analytics collaborates with state and national organizations and individual agencies on research projects affecting end-of-life care quality. Notably, more than half of State Hospice Organizations participate in its Market Reports Project, representing over 60 percent of hospices serving more than 70 percent of hospice patients in the country.
