Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is a non-profit organization in the performing arts sector that hosts and curates a seasonal program for classical music and musical theater, centered on an intensive training and performance experience for young artists. Based on the Big Island of Hawaii, the festival gathers participants from Hawaii, the United States, Canada, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, South America and Europe to study with professional instructors and perform in multiple venues during late June to early August. In addition to its summer festival, the organization presents a series of smaller performances, such as intimate house concerts and public events around Hawaii, including concerts at Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. The festival aims to advance appreciation and education in classical music and musical theater, while enriching the local community through participation and exposure to world-class training and performance in an inspirational setting.
