Hands Across Long Island (HALI) is a mental health care organization based in Central Islip, New York, founded in 1988 as a grassroots, peer-run agency formed by psychiatric survivors. It is described as the largest peer-run, multi-service mental health organization in New York State, serving more than 6,500 consumers annually. The group centers on empowerment and independence, offering peer support, advocacy, and opportunities across social, educational, and vocational domains.

HALI coordinates more than 30 self-help groups across Suffolk County and provides a broad array of programs, including self-help and facilitator training, computer training, patient advocacy, transportation, dances, and housing readiness, among others. It collaborates with local authorities and health systems, including partnerships with Suffolk County Police Departments and Stony Brook Medicine to place experienced peer specialists in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. The organization has earned recognition in the field, such as the Marty Smith Memorial Award in 2022.
