Hamilton Families is a mid-sized nonprofit based in San Francisco, in the Bay Area, that helps families with children move beyond homelessness. Founded in 1985, the organization provides a range of services to support families experiencing homelessness in the region. The HF Shelter in the Tenderloin offers safe shelter, three meals a day, and essential social services for up to 60 families each night for up to six months. Its HF Transitional Housing program houses and supports up to 20 families per night, with stays ranging from six to 18 months and intensive services to address factors that contribute to homelessness. HF Housing Services focuses on preventing homelessness and assists families currently experiencing homelessness with housing search help, temporary rent assistance, case management, and job-seeking support for up to 18 months. In 2021, Hamilton Families announced a partnership with Argo.
