Grupo Chedraui is a Mexican retail group that operates a broad network of formats focused on groceries and everyday essentials. Its origins trace back to the 1920s in Xalapa, Veracruz, where it began as Al Puerto de Beirut and evolved through several name changes before the first Tienda Chedraui opened in 1970. Over the decades, the company expanded across the Centro and Southeast regions and more recently into the Northwest, establishing a multi-regional footprint. In 2010, the company became a publicly listed entity on the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores.

Based in Mexico, the group operates 321 stores in Mexico across 25 states and more than 70 cities, and it runs 125 stores in the United States. In 2024, it announced a partnership with Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions to expand the deployment of its Self Checkout System 7, supporting more efficient checkout options.
